A tour of Whole Village!

The board of directors of Ecovillage Guelph recently went on a short tour of Whole Village, an intentional community about 45 minutes outside of Guelph. Of the 5 members of Ecovilage Guelph 3 were former members of this community and could provide a detailed orientation of the ecological aspects of the 191-acre mixed farm as well as the social and organizational aspects of the community - decision-making, domestic responsibilities, costs, etc. It was a lot of fun to visit place we called home for over 5 years.

Another Potluck at Junction Village in downtown Guelph

We recently hosted are best-attended potluck at Junction Village in downtown Guelph. After an informal dinner in their beautiful backyard we met for about an hour to introduce ourselves and what we have planned for the immediate future. 

We our excited to announce our workshop series coming this fall: 4 different workshops relating to intentional community-living, mindfulness, eco-therapy and the beautiful act of working cooperatively together, in any context.

Tour of Whole Village Ecovillage - This Saturday June 1st 1:30pm - 4:30pm

We're excited to host an informal tour of Whole Village, an ecovillage just 40 minutes outside of Guelph. Having been established for over 10 years and with close to 200 acres this tour should be of interest to anyone looking to learn more about intentional community living, permaculture and organic food production, sustainable living and appropriate technology, amongst other elements that are part of this exciting, cooperative culture.

Tour begins at 1:30pm Saturday June 1st at Whole Village, 20725 Shaws Creek Rd. Alton, Ontario, L7K 1L7.

We are pleased to announce the official launch of Ecovillage Guelph on Saturday March 30th at the Resilience Festival here in Guelph.
Come join us and get inspired as we bring together experts, enthusiasts and the curious to explore the power of community. A power to build resilience, lower our ecological footprint, enhance our quality of life and help heal or relationship with the rest of life on this planet.
We will have several speakers, a Q&A session and an interactive Open Space session. Bring your thoughts and your questions.

Guelph Organic Conference

Unofficially Ecovillage Guelph gets up and running this coming weekend at the Guelph Organic Conference. Whole Village has generously provide space for our humble little sign. I will will be at the table a good chunk of Saturday the 26th.
